We have a selection of e-bikes and cargo bikes which can be hired out
Electric bikes (e-bikes) are bicycles fitted with an electric motor that provides an 'assist' to the bike's rider making hills and long distance cycling so much easier.
We have a fleet of different models of electric bikes allows us to offer a 'try-before-you-buy' service*. E-bikes are quite an expensive purchase so being able to test different types before making a decision is obviously beneficial. We have eight e-Bikes that range in both size and type of bike.
We have the following adult** bikes available for people wanting to try out an e-bike:
1 x Giant Prime (Size Medium) step-through bike with a Bosch bottom bracket motor. This is very similar to our other step-through models, but benefits from a more advanced motor, hub gears, and a small shock absorber on the front.
2 x Cannondale Kinneto (Sizes Small and Medium) hybrid bikes with a Bosh bottom bracket motor. These bikes can be used equally comfortably on the road or for light off-road riding. They have Bosch motors, strong brakes and adjustable suspension.
3 x Giant easy-e (Size Small) step-through bikes with a front hub motor. These bikes have a comfortable upright riding position, mudguards, lights and a rack. They are perfect for around town and cruising along cycle paths.
1 x Haibike sDuro HardNine SC 29er (Size Small) mountain bike. This is our go anywhere bike. Roads, forest paths or mountain bike trails. A powerful Yamaha motor, front suspension forks and hydraulic disc brakes means it will take all in its stride.
The e-bikes are available at any time (as long as they're not already booked out). If you would to try one of our e-bikes then please contact us to discuss sizing and requirements. In order to try out a bike, you will also need to provide us with the following documentation:
