Active travel & employers

Did you know that we work with employers?

We work with a number of employers in Stirling through our Employer Engagement programme to support them on the path to becoming more cycling and walking friendly.

The programme includes:

  • Evaluating the current levels of active travel at the workplace and identifying any barriers that make it harder for employees to choose active travel
  • Identifying funding opportunities for cycling facilities and staff training
  • Supporting the application process for Cycling Scotland’s Cycle Friendly Employer Award
  • Scheduling walking and cycling events and competitions including Dr Bike sessions, pop-up Hubs, led walks/rides, route planning and much more.

We have worked with many employers in Stirling including Zero Waste Scotland, Prudential, Stirling Council, Forth Valley College, Keep Scotland Beautiful and Stirling University. Our aim is to make Stirling the gold standard of active travel friendly cities and we believe employers play a key role in that.

If you'd like to find out more about our Employer Engagement Programme, please get in touch by email or phone, or pop into the Hub for a chat.

Have a look at our Employer Engagement Brochure for a full list of all the services we offer.

Cyclescheme

Do you want to commute to work by bike but don't have a bike or need a better bike?

Cyclescheme is an employee benefit that saves you 25-39% on a bike and accessories. You pay nothing upfront and the payments are taken tax efficiently from your salary by your employer.

The Big Count

Cycling Scotland's Big Count asks people, twice a year, to visit the bike parking at their workplace and count the number of bikes there that day.
